You gotta do something Jim, don't just vent on here. I hate bad service and this situation is unacceptable. I would write a nice long letter to corporate and send a CC to the manager at that location. This would be the lightest approach, but sure would make me feel better.

Awesome blog by the way, I love stopping by here.

Hmm ...

"What’s funny is that the argument used by shrieking, hysterical liberals is
that they are a minority."

Well, thanks for making blanket statements about people like _me_
(a liberal) even though I have never said or thought anything resembling
that in my life.

Guess there's all kinds of prejudice, misunderstanding and over-generalized
b.s. to go around, ain't there?

David,

Dewdrop and Graham are right. Take it up the chain of command. You may not ever walk into a Pizza Hut ever again... heck, I don't blame you for feeling that way. I wouldn't go back either. But, they should know exactly what kind of service (crappy) that resturant is providing.

If they offer you a free meal... turn it down, but tell them you'll take a refund on the $45 you spent for service you didn't recieve...

Definitely take it higher up the chain. They should be made aware of what is going on in their restaurants. At least give them the benefit of the doubt that they will make an effort to save their name...

I would sure as hell take that higher up in the chain. I understand that workers are hard to come by, and I have noticed a large number of new/summer employees who don't know their job, but this was just wrong. There is a difference between new employee and down right rude and incompetent. Forty-five dollars, although only half a tank of gas, it a lot of money. I would not let this just be swept under the carpet like so many other times. The standard these days is going down the shitter.

"Complaining about anything else; throws fuel on a fire no one wants burning in the first place. Chose your battles wisely, it could blow up in your face."

Not sure what that's about, there are no battles here, but ok. The bottom line was, regardless of what race anyone was in the place, we were definitely made to feel like we weren't welcome there. What other factor was there?

Bad service is bad service, yours was a truckload of awful. Complain about that all day. No wrongs there.

By the way, it was re-cooked because it was raw after I ordered it medium well. This was a hamburger steak with brown gravy. Not too terribly difficult a meal to get right.

I ran into this same situation at a truck stop when I drove truck over the road. It was in Arkansas. After returning my meal back to the kitchen 3 times to have it 1) re-cooked 2) have brown gravy (which I ordered the first time, but never got), and 3) have it re-warmed when it came back from the kitchen cold. The locals that were in the resturaunt were served promptly -- and as far as I could tell -- the proper food. I got up and walked out. The manager threatened to call the cops on me for failure to pay for the meal that I didn't eat. Her explanation was that I had ordered it... it didn't matter that I hadn't eaten it. I explained to her in no uncertain terms that she could call the cops if she wanted, but it would be a cold day in hell before I payed the bill and that it would also be a cold day in hell before I ever came back into that truck stop for ANYTHING! In 6 years of driving after that I never did so much as even pull into that parkinglot to sleep... much less eat anything at that poor excuse for a resturaunt.
