As you know David, I'm a Mac guy and once upon a time would have said, "Shoulda........." Unfortunately Windows and Mac seem to be migrating towards each other at breakneck speed and soon there won't be much to choose between the two. Oh well, that's progress I suppose.

BTW, it's nearly April and we're freezing our whatsits off up here. Fresh snow on the mountain just a coupla hundred metres up. I wonder how this bodes for the coming chase season.

Well since SP1 came out for it, I went ahead and decided to give it ONE MORE CHANCE on the laptop. Since I had most of the program updates sorted out on the desktop, that wasn't so bad. I did have a major issue with the old Sprint Connection Manager for some reason (didn't before, must have been the service pack update) but found there was a new version of it I like better anyway. We'll see.

I too love lots of things about Vista... I guess it's always growing pains with a new OS, I remember the same when we all went to XP, or was it ME or maybe it was Window98 or Windows95 or perhaps Windows 3.1....

Is is sad that I actually own copies of ALL of those?

Got my case in today for the NEW desktop I am building. That thing is sweet and has a fan on top so big it could lift of small aircraft! So now I have a processor and case...good start.

Well, all of a sudden my issues seems preeeety small compared to what you went through. My Dell wouldnt let me finalize my wedding video I had shot. Not even using a external burner did the trick. It edits perfectly, but wont finalize anything you put in. So I dumped a grand on a new Dell. Yes on to Vista we go! Took 2 days to get the wireless issue fixed. Online there are horror stories of people having wireless issues with this model and with Vista. But for the meantime it works. (an update was issued for my wireless router on the Window updates and that did the trick) So far I have to admitt I love Vista, but that is subject to change at anytime David. LOLOLOL So now I have to edit on one computer and burn with the other which s now problem using them together in a network. hope you get the bugs worked out David. (Dewdrop said you were having problems and that i should mosey on over.) Happy hunting!!

That gif movie of Data and the bluescreen is hilarious. I stole it from you. ;-) I hope you get everything lined out and ready to go this week. It looks like Ma Nature might be getting cranky soon.

As for Vista, I'm still holding the fort against Uncle Bill's minions. XP lives!! LOL!! I might attempt switiching over to it this summer, but I hate the thought of spending days getting all of my software drivers updated and configured/tweaked, downloading a bunch of stuff, pouring over usergroup lists to squash bugs, etc. I'd rather stab my eyeballs with hot pokers. ;-)
